Dragon Kit #6007 WW2 German Super Tank Maus YOG2_J1ZOU98
The super heavy tank Maus (Mouse) was one of Germanys more unconventional inventions towards the end of WWII. Designed by Porsche in 1942, the Maus was planned as an enormous heavy armored tank. The end result was a 1888 ton tank with a top speed of only 20 km/h. However, the Maus packed quite a heavy punch. It was armed with the 12.8 cm cannon derived from an anti-aircraft gun. A coaxial 7.5 cm gun was mounted to the right of the main gun. The Maus had a crew of six and was suppose to be submergible. The tracks filled two thirds of the vehicles overall width with the Daimler-Benz engine in the middle and generator in the back. Two Maux tanks were tanks were rumored to have seen battle with the Red Armys towards the end of the war. Models are supplied unpainted and some assembly may be required.
